Care Package

Upon release from prison, the inmate will leave the facility wearing one set of clothing and handed a small box with their personal belongings.

Bridge Prison Ministry provides a care package to the participant at the time of their release.  Letter writers and/or mentors will deliver the care package to the participant. At the time of delivery family members are encouraged to attend.

Personal care items that are always needed are as follows:

  • Hygiene Items (toothpaste, toothbrush, shampoo, conditioner, hair spray/gel, soap, lotion, deodorant, hair brush, comb, shaving cream, razors, etc.)
  • Bus Pass
  • Socks
  • Gift Card for undergarments (Wal-Mart, Target, Fry’s, etc.)
  • Bible/Devotional
  • Calendar/Planner
  • Back Pack

The training covers the following:

Where to Begin?
When delivering a care package to a Participant.
Meeting the family of the Participant.
Hygiene Products.
Time Commitment Investment: 1 hour a month. 1 – 2 letters per month.
